ART OF THE CAR

Synopsis This piece is about the search for perfection. The idea that somewhere in the world an object, made by hand can be so perfect, God himself might have made it. What does that mean to take on a challenge with standards so high that the attempt alone puts you in your own category? Perfection has been chased for thousands of years since the first artist decided to chase this idea. The idea that art is a symbol of the divine, a symbol of god and perfection. The result is hammers hitting materials of all kinds giving us a history of objects we still wonder about today. It makes you wonder if 1000 years from now this car will be a symbol of mans love and use of the automobile. It stands as gift to automotive world. In this 10 min film we get to climb into the minds of the Designer Chris brown and Owner Bob Matranga and hear their thoughts on the greatest hotrod ever made.

Inspiration for the Art of the Car When Chris Brown told me how they where making this hotrod I was with every nut and bolt polished and chromed. How every element of the car has to be touched and changed in some way…but all by hand. It becomes clear, very quickly that this is not a car at all. It's a sculpture of the highest order. This car is a work of art that stands as a testament to the skill, creativity and innovation of the custom car work at its best. It's a symbol of modern tech married to nostalgia and the skills of the greatest car artist ion the world.
